Why dApp?

There are several advantages of building decentralised applications (dApps) over regular apps. One of the major benefits is that dApps lack centralisation, meaning they don’t rely on a central server, but rather a decentralised network that no single entity has complete control over. This allows for greater security, resilience and autonomy than traditional applications. dApps utilise blockchain technology to ensure fast, reliable and highly secure applications that work together to help improve the overall customer experience.

dApps are also censorship-resistant, meaning they aren’t subject to centralised control. For example, consider centralised applications that have the power to choose to censor certain users or remove them from a platform. With dApps, this isn’t possible since no single entity has control over the application. Lastly, dApps have no single point of failure. This is because the data is not stored on a central server, but rather on a distributed network thanks to blockchain technology. Traditional applications may be prone to failure due to an issue with a central server, such as a fire or technical failure.
